About me

I’m going to write this bit in the third person because that looks more professional and like it’s someone who works for me in some capacity who wrote this rather than me sitting in my kitchen cringing about the whole thing. So here goes, don’t laugh… or do, as and when is appropriate.

Jenny is a comedy writer who started out on BBC Radio 4 Extra’s Newsjack before she was chosen for the Radio 4 comedy writing bursary where she also writes for The News Quiz, The Now Show, It’s Jocelyn and some other things but mainly it’s podcast links, lots and lots of podcast links.

Jenny has been known t do the occasional bit of stand up and on her first ever gig won a little trophy, which she thinks validates posting a pictures of her with a microphone to denote comedy rather than a pen, although she mostly writes stuff. Mind you, who uses a pen nowadays? Anyway Jenny feels that this whole section has started to wander off point now so best to wrap it up. Hope you enjoy the site.

  1. I’m with you on the cheese. I like your light, humourous style, the ability to transform a relatively innocuous happening into a readable essay that leaves a smile.

  2. Just googled “I hate monty don” and found you – I feel better already 😉 I normally care passionately about people who suffer from depression but in Monty’s case I can’t help thinking God is trying to tell him something (i.e. shut up!)

  3. Having sern you at Yellow Comedy on Friday, I have to say I was very impressed. Hopefully be able to see you again in the near future.
